Refund Policy

We want every order from Sam's Fried Chicken and Burgers to be a great experience. If something goes wrong, this policy explains what we will do about it.

Because we accept Cash on Delivery (COD) only, you are not charged in advance. Most refund situations are handled by cancelling the order before delivery or by giving you a cash refund or replacement at the door.

1. Before the Order Is Delivered

  • Cancellation by you: You can ask to cancel your order at any time before we mark it “Confirmed”. After that, cancellation is generally not possible because we have started preparing your food. Since payment is on delivery, an unstarted cancellation costs you nothing.
  • Cancellation by us: We may cancel an order if an item is out of stock, the delivery address is outside our service area, or we cannot reach you to confirm details. You owe nothing for a cancelled order.

2. Problems at the Door

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If any of the following is true, tell the rider before paying:

  • An item is missing from the order.
  • The wrong item was delivered.
  • The food is visibly spoilt, cold beyond reason, or unsafe to eat.
  • The packaging is damaged in a way that compromises the food.

We will, at our choice:

  • Replace the affected item as soon as possible; or
  • Deduct the cost of the affected item from the bill; or
  • In rare cases where the entire order is unusable, cancel the order so nothing is paid.

3. Problems Noticed After Delivery

If you discover a problem after the rider has left, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery at:

Have your order number and, if possible, a photo of the problem ready. We will review the case and may offer a replacement, a credit for a future order, or a partial cash refund — depending on what is fair for the situation.

4. Situations We Cannot Refund

  • Personal preference (for example, a flavour or spice-level you didn't like) when the food was prepared as ordered.
  • Customer-caused delays (no one available at the address, wrong address provided, or refusal to accept the order after it was confirmed).
  • Complaints made more than 24 hours after delivery.
  • Damage caused after the rider has handed over the food in good condition.

5. How Refunds Are Paid

Because Sam's only accepts cash on delivery, refunds are paid in cash by the rider at the time of delivery (where possible) or arranged separately by phone for post-delivery refunds. We do not issue digital or card refunds.
